The van is packed and we’re on our way… heading south with our first ever ‘roadshow’ exhibition!
We’re taking over 40 pieces to hang at Emery Down in the New Forest. This has been a marathon effort to prepare, but Chris has risen to the challenge with some really super new paintings to add to his ‘Facing the Storm’ theme, and some other landscapes and railway favourites for a new audience down south.
The Yorkshire Post got wind of the exhibition and ran an article this week – the online version doesn’t have the fantastic photo, taken by Gerard Binks, of Chris high up above Levisham looking down into Newtondale. As soon as we have a copy I will post it on the website. Publicity down south includes a live interview tomorrow morning on BBC Radio Solent.
So if you are in the vicinity of Emery Down or fancy a day out in the New Forest, do visit the exhibition. It is open between 10am and 7pm on Saturday and Sunday.
We have arranged cover for the studio most of the time we are away, so you are still welcome at the Levisham Station studio over the weekend.
Now, where did I put those last few bits and pieces for the van?….
