A market town for hundreds of years, Kirkbymoorside no longer sells the cattle which still graze its pastures.
The church and market in Kirkbymoorside are medieval, yet pigs and cattle are no longer sold in the streets. However, the village pastures still feed the local livestock just as the church still serves its inhabitants.
